My tea tastes like nothing
The liquor is pale and watery. There is no fault you can name, there is just not much there.
Likely cause
Too little leaf, most often. After that: water that is too cool for the tea, or leaf that has been open on a shelf for a year and has lost its aromatics.
Try this now
Weigh the leaf instead of guessing. Most people who think they are using five grams are using two.
What to change
Raise the leaf ratio before you extend the steep, because time adds bitterness faster than flavour. If the leaf is old, no brewing change will bring the aroma back.
